You cannot use pronouns: I, we, me, us, they, them.....
CLAIM: ANSWERS THE QUESTION
EVIDENCE: DATA, FACTS, FIGURES, GRAPHS, CHARTS, (FOUND IN RESULTS)
REASONING: USES VOCABULARY TO EXPLAIN HOW AND WHY YOUR DATA SUPPORTS YOUR CLAIM

COLORS CLAIM IS RED, EVIDENCE IS BLUE, AND REASONING SHOULD BE GREEN
Claim: Answers the question completely, accurately, and with complexity
Evidence: Data from your tables, observations, graphs
Reasoning: Information from your notes, research, vocab, or other sources that help to show how the evidence supports your claim.
With Claims be careful that you answer the questions. Many times when it's stated "How does...." students will offer a "This shows" type of answer. Make sure you answer the HOW.
Evidence must have a minimum of three pieces, same with reasoning, and it should be one complete paragraph. Remember, no pronouns (what is a pronoun). Your CER should be one paragraph in the format of claim, evidence #1, reasoning #1, evidence #2, reasoning #2, evidence #3, reasoning #3.
